Prepare the Berry Compote:In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the blueberries and chopped strawberries. Drizzle in the honey, stirring to coat the berries evenly.

Cook the mixture over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes, allowing the berries to soften and begin releasing their juices. To expedite this, gently mash the berries using the back of your spatula.

As the mixture starts to bubble and transform into a compote-like consistency, turn off the heat. Stir in the lemon juice and rose essence for an aromatic touch.

Cool and Store the Compote:Allow the berry compote to cool down to room temperature. For convenience, the compote can be prepared 2 to 3 days in advance and stored in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.

Assemble the Rice Kheer Parfait:When you’re ready to serve, initiate the assembly by layering 2 to 3 tablespoons of the berry compote at the base of your serving cups or jars

Gently layer over approximately ⅓ cup of Rice Kheer over the berry compote, creating a visually appealing and flavorful parfait.
