Jaljeera

Jal-jeera, or jaljira, is an Indian beverage. It is flavored with a spice mix known as jal-jeera powder. In Hindi, “jal” means water and “jeera” means cumin. The beverage form is essentially lemonade and jaljira powder, and is a popular summer drink in India.

Step 1
Take a blender and add 1 tablespoon chopped ginger and add 2 green chillies, 3 tablespoons chopped pudina, 2 tablespoons chopped coriander and add 1 tablespoon sugar in it and blend it nicely to a fine paste.
Step 2
Then add 1 teaspoon lime juice and add 2 teaspoon jeera powder, 1 teaspoon black salt, 1 teaspoon asafoetida (hing) in it, 1 teaspoon black pepper powder and add 2-3 ice cubes in it and blend it again nicely.
Step 3
When it is done add 3 cups of water in it and blend it again nicely to make a fine drink and after that transfer it to the drinking glass and garnish it with some salty boondi and mint leaves.
Step 4
Tasty, refreshing and amazing jaljeera water is ready to drink.
